Mildred I (Haines) Dobyns

  Mildred I. Dobyns, 92 years old, of Newport, passed away  Friday, September 9, 2022. She was born December 17, 1929  in Newport to Lewis S. and Dollie (Murphy) Haines.
She was a member of the Red Hill Church of God,  enjoyed gardening and sitting on her back porch. Her family was her greatest joy.
  Millie was the widow of William Dobyns and is survived by her daughter, Mary Jones (Scott) of Newport; son Gerald Haines (Carol) of Duncannon ; brothers Lenus Haines of Newport, Grover and Donald Haines of Duncannon and Carl Haines of Irving, Texas; sister Vera Asper of  Akron; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Stanley, Ralph, Marlin and Ray Haines and sister Faye Frye.
  A viewing will be held Friday, Sept 16 from 5-7 PM from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport and services on Saturday from the Newport First Church of God with a viewing from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery.
  In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Red Hill Church of God, 16 Church Road, Newport, PA 17074.
