Nancy L. Beaver, 70, of Howe Township, died on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.  She was born on February 1, 1954 in Derry Township, Mifflin County to her late parents, L. Richard “Dick” Niman and Jeanette E. (Kapp) Niman.  She was a graduate of Newport High School, Class of 1972.  Nancy began working at the Department of Revenue shortly after graduation.  She was an exemplary employee and achieved her lifelong career goal of working in the Executive Office as the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of Revenue, years before retiring in 2010.  Nancy was an avid reader and loved her Kindle.  She also loved the game show JEOPARDY! and rarely missed an episode.

Nancy is survived by her husband and best friend, Dale W. “Tink” Beaver; daughters Jaime M. Feehrer (Jerett) of McAlisterville and Ashley N. Steffen (Jordon) of Halifax; sister Judy Henry of Harrisburg and grandchildren Rylan Feehrer and Mason, Madelyn, Mia and Mackenzie Steffen.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Niman.

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 25 at 3:00 PM, followed by a meal at the Hope Eternal United Methodist Church, 2 Burd Road, Newport (in Howe Township).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested in Nancy’s honor to the Citizens Fire Company #1 of Newport, 301 Mulberry St., Newport, PA  17074.
