Nancy Roberts Obituary

Nancy M. Roberts, 76, a 30-year resident of Harrisburg and previously Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on October 7, 2021 at the home of her daughter, Susan Degen, in Edgewater, MD. Born on May 11, 1945 in Keene, NH to the late Robert and Janet Morrison, Nancy began her undergraduate studies at Bucknell University then completed her bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Pittsburgh. Nancy was a career civil servant with the State of Pennsylvania culminating her career as the Director of Technology for the Auditor General of Pennsylvania. Nancy was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral in Harrisburg, PA. She enjoyed playing tennis; her greatest joy though came from spending time with her family and friends, and especially her dog, Nicky,
  In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Whitcomb. She is survived by her three children, Spencer Roberts of Fairfax, VA, Susan Degen of Edgewater, MD and Michael Roberts of Detroit, MI; and six grandchildren, Hannah Degen, Michael Roberts, Madison Degen, Liam Roberts, Chloe Roberts and Spencer Roberts IV.
  A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 5 at St. Stephens Episcopal Cathedral, 221 North Front Street, Harrisburg, PA. Nancy's remains will be taken to Laconia, NH where she will be buried next to her parents and brother.
 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the V Foundation for Cancer Research, 14600 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27516 or the Humane Society of the Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
