Pauline C (Shields) Hockenberry

Pauline C. Hockenberry, 89 years old, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the home of her daughter, Donna Jones. She was born March 25, 1932 in Wayne Township, Mifflin County to Cloyd and Alice Harmon Shields. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren.
  Pauline was the widow of Chester E. Bowser and Miles E Hockenberry and is survived by her sons Chester K Bowser (Mary) of Shermans Dale and Robert H Bowser of Newport; daughters Donna M Jones (Eugene) of Millerstown, Pearl P Gardner (companion Paul Page) of Newport and Ruby L Smith (Gary)  of TN; sisters Ethel M Filer (Walter) of Trappe, MD and Eva C. Rhoades of Oxford; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Elmer L Bowser
  Services will be held Friday, January 28 from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport with a viewing from 1 PM until the funeral service at 2 PM with Pastor Eugene Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery.
