Peggy Kritser Obituary

Peggy J. Kritser, 83, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at UPMC West Shore.

She was born April 13, 1940 in Millerstown to William and Catherine (Bilheimer) Campbell.

Peggy loved animals, particularly dogs and cats, and was never without at least one furry companion. She regularly bottle fed everything from goats to kittens at her kitchen table. She enjoyed all manner of crafts, including crocheting hats and sewing, and games. She was known to wait until her grandchildren went to bed to stay up late into the night playing their Nintendo.

Surviving are her two daughters, Catherine McHenry (Ken) of Millerstown and Margaret Graybill of Thompsontown; six grandchildren, Michelle (Graybill) Love, Melissa Graybill, Milo Graybill, Michael Graybill, Gretchen McHenry, and Stuart McHenry; five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. As an only child, she spent a lot of time with and had a lot of love for her Campbell and Swartz cousins across multiple generations.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Kritser.

A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home and Wednesday services will be from the Faith United Church, Ickesburg, with a viewing from 11 AM until the funeral service at 12 PM. Burial will follow in the Eshcol Cemetery.
