Peggy Elizabeth (Harlow) Ringler, 1941 -2025
Peggy Ringler, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in her home November 26, 2025.
She was born Sept. 29, 1941 in Charlottesville VA. She was raised in Crozet VA along with her sisters and cousin. She married her husband, Harold, March 11, 1961. Together they raised three children and 31 foster children, many of whom they considered their own.
Peggy loved her children and adored being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family finds peace knowing she has been reunited in heaven with her beloved husband.
Her faith was very important to her and she often quoted one of her favorite bible verses Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which though knowest not.”
Peggy is proceeded in death by her husband Harold, mother Helen Willoughby, sisters Betty Taylor and Nancy Marshall, and cousin Pete McDaniel. She is survived by her children Ronald Ringler, Dawn Miller (Eugene), Wendolyn Ringler (Kevin), and Jason Thrush, five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and a dear friend Bobby VanSycle.
Services will be held at Union Chapel Church in Markleysburg PA, 2 pm on December 6th, 2025. A second service will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Delaware, date TBD.
