R Keith Raub

R. Keith Raub took his last breath on October 30, 2023, at home -- the same home where he took his first breath on February 18, 1942 -- on the farm to which he devoted his life.

Keith was a fan of Oliver and John Deere tractors, conservation agriculture and farmland preservation.  He loved to strike up conversations with strangers and make people smile by acting “merely foolish.”  He was a member of the Perry County Farm Bureau, Duncannon Presbyterian Church and Newport Royal Arch Chapter #238 and Newport-Tennis Lodge #381 F&AM.

Keith is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret “Peggy” (Hall), daughter Marel King and her husband Jason of Duncannon, and brother Garry Raub and his wife Donna of New Bloomfield.  He was preceded in death by his parents, H. Russell and Marian (Steele) Raub.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Perry County Conservation District (include “Perry County Farmland Preservation Donation” on the memo line) or the Duncannon Presbyterian Church.
