Rev. R. Bruce Woolever

    Reverend R. Bruce Woolever, 81, passed away May 26, 2019 at his home in New Bloomfield, PA. He was born March 31, 1938 in Raghunathpur, India to missionary parents Charles and Lillian Woolever. He attended Woodstock School in Mussoorie, India in younger years. Bruce was a graduate of Chapman College and Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was retired from the US Navy and from the Susquehanna Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He served churches in the Eastern Pennsylvania and Susquehanna  Conferences. In his retirement he was an avid gardener and was a Master Gardener.
  Bruce was predeceased by his son Curtis Woolever and his survived by his wife, Patricia Woolever; sons, Robert Woolever and wife Krislyn, Derek Woolever and wife Robbin and Ryan Woolever and wife Suse; daughter, Liz Dawson and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
   A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 8 at 1 PM at the New Bloomfield United Methodist Church, 100 West Main St, New Bloomfield at 1 PM with the Reverend Marian Hartman and Reverend Jean Felty officiating. There is a time of visitation from 12 PM until the service. 
  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bruce's name are suggested to Ludihana  Medical College and Hospital, Brown Rd CMC, Campus, Ludihana Punjab 14 1008, India or Mission Central, 5 Pleasant View Dr., Mechanicsburg, PA. 17050.
