Ronald (Ron) A. Wesner, Age 76 of Dauphin, passed away Saturday, December 2 nd , in Blain PA, while hunting and enjoying the great outdoors.
Born February 25, 1947 in Ashland, PA, son of Samuel and Jean (Meredith) Wesner. He grew up in Linglestown after his family moved from Mount Carmel when he was in first grade.
Survived by his wife Dorothy “Dee” (Shiffer) to whom he was married for 55 years. Ron was a 1965 graduate of Central Dauphin High School. Ron was in the Navy from 1966 to 1969 when he was honorably discharged. He served as an electrician on the USS Oriskany. Following his time in the Navy, Ron was a mason, working for several companies and lastly working side-by-side with his son Sam in the business they founded in 2005, Dauphin Enterprises, LLC.
Ron was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He found joy in working, spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and any time spent with his family. His greatest joy in life were his grandchildren.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Dauphin.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother Dave Wesner. Survived by his son, Sam (Monica), grandchildren Ivan and Eva, a special cousin Judy (Randy) Byra and sister-in-law Susan Wesner. He had ";bonus" siblings, Joyce Stultz, John (Judy) Shiffer, Ricky (Cheryl) Shiffer, Amy (Jay) Heagy and many nieces and nephews. 
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to: Zion Lutheran Church – Dauphin, PO Box 5, Dauphin, PA 17018.
