Russell K McBride

Russell K. McBride of New Bloomfield went to be with his Lord late on Friday, October 13, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born March 22, 1940, in New Bloomfield, PA.

He attended Landisburg Church of God and was a 1958 graduate of Perry Joint High School. He worked as a mason from the time he graduated. He enlisted in the Air Force National Guard and served until the early 70’s. He decided to go into business for himself and established McBride Construction. He continued his love of construction until he retired. He also served for several years as a Supervisor in Centre Township.

He loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, working on cars, attending car shows, going to the beach, butchering, keeping busy around the house and lending a helping hand wherever he could.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Charlene (Spease), a son Aaron K. McBride and his wife Theresa. A daughter Eileen C. (McBride) Holbrook and her husband Joshua. Two granddaughters, Kayla McBride and Alyssa Yung. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Edith (Good) McBride and two daughters, Kathleen (McBride) Williams and Nicole (McBride) Wood.

A Visitation will be held at Myers Funeral Home in Newport, PA on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. A private cemetery ceremony will be held for immediate family members only.
