On November 9, 2024, Ruth Viola Dillman (Leiter), 90, of Center Township, New Bloomfield, joined her heavenly Father on November 9, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born June 25, 1934, in Duncannon, PA, Ruth was a daughter to the late Lillian C. (Dowdrick) Leiter and Frank O. Leiter Sr.

Ruth was employed at West Perry School District as a head cook for thirty years and was also employed by Bell Telephone for thirteen years.

Ruth was a lifetime member of OES Lodge, Rebekah Lodge of New Bloomfield, and Perry County Chapter.

In her free time, Ruth enjoyed attending auctions and volunteered for the Perry County Fair at the Fancy House. Ruth cherished her family and always enjoyed supporting them at sporting events.

Ruth is survived by son and daughter-in-law Ray Charles Jr. and Glenda Dillman of New Bloomfield; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda (Dillman) and Dereick Smith of Newport; grandchildren, Bradford Dillman (Jennifer), Rachel Frerotte (Logan), Nicholas Dillman (Veronica), Cheyenne Fetterhoff (Kyle), Larissa Chaplain (Aaron), Chloe Smith, and Ganon Smith, brother-in-law Lee Clugston, sister-in-law Evelyn Leiter, twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray C. Dillman;  her sister Helen (Leiter) Clugston, and brothers John B. Leiter, and Frank O. Leiter, Jr., nephew Shawn O. Clugston, great-granddaughter Aubrielle Elizabeth Barrick, sister-in-laws June Helen (Dillman) Paul and Sara Jean Dillman.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
