Ruth M (Shatto) Morrison

Ruth Morrison, 84 years old, formerly of Newport, passed away Saturday January 14, 2023 at the Holy Spirit Hospital. She was born September 6, 1938 in Newport to Roy S. and Verna Campbell Shatto.She was owner of the former Plaza Restaurant in Newport, had attended St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a member of the Newport Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Ruth was the widow of Glenn E. Morrison and is survived by her children Edward Simoncelli Jr of Mt. Holy, Susan Hebel (George) of Lewisberry, Pam Neitz of Carlisle and Brenda Nulton (Jeffrey) of Houstontown, brother Roy Shatto of Duncannon, sisters Arletta Clugston of Marysville and Connie Kenee of Duncannon, eight grandchildren and  eight great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by granddaughter Nia Neitz.
Services will be held Saturday January 21 from the David Myers Funeral Home with a visitation from 11 AM until the funeral at 12 PM. Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery
