Saunda L. McGuire, 86 years old, passed away January 21, 2025 at her home in Wheatfield Township, Duncannon with her family by her side. She was born August 15, 1938 in Millerstown to Fleming and Orpha (Cox) Miller. She was a 1956 graduate of Newport High School, she worked in retail sales for Beeline Fashions for many years where she was a top producer, was a member of the Perry Chapter Order of Eastern Star and attended the Newport Assembly of God.  Her greatest joy was traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. Saunda is survived by her husband of 65 years, Vance E. McGuire; children Vance E. McGuire II of Hummelstown, Matthew McGuire of Newport and Michelle Whitmyer (Charles) of Marysville; brothers  Barry Miller of Florida and Vance Miller of Millersburg, and sister Rose Foose of New Bloomfield; grandchildren Emily Whitmyer,  Ava , Marissa and Donovan McGuire. She was preceded in death by her brother Monty Miller.

  Services will be held Tuesday, January 28 at the Newport Family Life Center,  27 W Shortcut Road, Newport with a viewing from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Duncannon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Newport Assembly of God,  253 N Sixth Street, Newport, PA 17074
