Trudy E. Gill, 71, of Newport, entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

She was born August 11, 1954 to the late Earl and Doris (Seeger) Brandt.

She was a 1972 graduate of Newport High School and was employed and retired as a clerk typist from the Perry County Assistance Office. Trudy was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren. 

She had been very active following 4-H and the FFA with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, especially spending time with her family and going on sister trips.

Surviving is her husband of nearly 50 years, Gary Gill; sons Bart Gill of Magnolia, Delaware and Bradley Gill (April) of Newport; a brother Steven Brandt (Cheryl) of Middleburg and two sisters Debra Hockenberry (Steven) and Judy Miller (Dan) of Duncannon. Two grandchildren Summer and Johnny Gill, along with many cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Nancy Stricker.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 3, 2026 at The Facktory, 101 Chestnut Street, Liverpool from 1-4pm.
