Victor N Cree Obituary

Victor N. Cree, 91 of Newport, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, July 18, 2025. He was born November 4, 1933 to Maurice and Mary (Bailor) Cree in Newport, PA. 
He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. He worked for the American Can Company in Lemoyne and retired when the plant closed in 1994. Victor enjoyed watching baseball and football, being in the sunshine, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his two children, Susan and Steven; grandchildren Lydia (Peters) Barlup, Iris (Peters) Quigley, Tyler Cree and great grandchildren Rhett and Nash Barlup. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Smith) Cree, to whom he was deeply devoted, and was the last living sibling to brothers Maurice “Dean”, Millard “Jack”, Wayne, Myrle, David, Glenn, and William, and sisters Mary “Evelyn”, Florence “Lucille”, and Frieda.
Services will be held Thursday, July 24, at the David M. Myers Funeral Home with a viewing from 10 - 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Newport Cemetery.
