Wendy E Campbell Obituary

Wendy E Campbell, loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully at her home on March 16, 2026 after a year and a half of battling cancer. Wendy was born on October 11, 1950 to the late Joseph 'Lefty' Campbell and Vera 'June' (Snyder) Campbell in Harrisburg PA.

 

She was born and raised in Newport PA until she went into the military, where she served in the Navy and was honorably discharged. She worked at the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot for the Federal government prior to being transferred to Charleston South Carolina with her job for several years, then back to Mechanicsburg to retire and resided in Newport until her passing. 

 

Wendy was a member of the Newport Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Newport American Legion Post #177 Ladies Auxiliary and the Millerstown Moose Lodge #925. 

 

Wendy is survived by her daughter Tara Blose (Gary), granddaughter Tessa Flanders, (Adam) and grandson, Devan Blose. Great-grandchildren Lillian and Sawyer Flanders. Sisters Roxy Reynolds (Kevin), Kathy Collins, Nieces Lindsay Reynolds and Sheona Ballent (Shawn), Nephews Zachary Reynolds, Justin Collins, Joseph Collins and many great nieces and nephews.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Vera Campbell, sister Terry (Campbell) Dick, brother Randy Campbell, Granddaughter Chloe Blose. Brother-in-law Jim Collins and nephew Jacob Collins.

 

Wendy was full of life and always looking for her next adventure.  She was known for traveling near and far and you could always see her at her grandkids and great grandkids sporting events. She was a very loved person and a loving person to all. She will be missed by all. 

 

There will be a celebration of life April 11, 2026 at the  Newport First Church  Church of God, 334 South 5th Street, Newport, with a visitation from 11 AM until the service at 12 PM.
