Helen Herr-Atticks, 95, formerly of Millerstown, died Saturday, May 8, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Verna Gelbaugh. Helen was the widow of Russell S. Herr Sr. and T. Edward Atticks.She was also predeceased by her sons, Russell S. Herr Jr. and Stephen E. Herr and great grandson, Mitchell Herr. Helen had been a member of the Perry Valley Presbyterian Church for many years where she had served in many different capacities. She retired from Greenwood School District. She was a member of the Retired School Employees of Perry County and past member of the Perry Valley Grange, the Millerstown Civic Club and the Volksmarchers Walking Club. Helen found much enjoyment in her many hobbies throughout her life that included painting, sewing, cooking, bird watching and walking.
  Helen is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Plant (Jack) and daughter-in-law, Rita Herr. She is also survived by stepsons, James Atticks (Cheryll), Ronald Atticks (Lin), David Atticks (Barbara) and Kenneth Atticks (Anne Marie), 5 grandchildren, Nathan Herr, Matthew Plant (Rickelle), Jenny McGarvey (Kevin), Justin Herr (Teresa), Jillian Decker (Bryce), 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
 Helen felt so blessed by the many visits, prayers, cards and gifts she received while she resided at Perry Village. The family extends many thanks to all of you who showed your love and care through these many acts of kindnesses. Many thanks also to the staff at Perry Village, who became not just her caregivers, but her friends.
 A Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
